...Em's Favorite Things...

We are all like the great Oprah Winfrey whether we want to believe it or not.

I have scoured the internet looking for this proof and have come up with these three facts that clearly demonstrate she is, indeed, like the rest of us:

1.  She breathes air with lungs.  Not with gills.  Not with special shoes.  Not even with a diamond studded toothpick.  But, lungs.  Good 'ol lungs.  And here's the kicker--she even breathes the same air as us ((gasp)).

2.  She has two legs (like most of us) that require her to put pants on like the rest of us too.  I understand her pants are probably nicer and better quality, but we aren't talking about her pants--we are talking about her legs.  Her two legs.  My two legs.  Your two legs.  Aunt Ethel's two legs.  You get the picture.

3.  She has her list of "Favorite Things" (again like most of us).  Things she loves and uses almost every day.  Things she gives as gifts.  Things she is thankful for.  And things several of us would love to have, but there's no way we could ever afford.

Needless to say, we all have favorite things too.  And here are just a few of mine (amazingly everything is available on Amazon which just so happens to be my favorite place to shop online--so please don't judge me)...

This Kindle Fire HD7 is the exact same one I have.  It is loaded up with all kinds of useful and useless apps, games, pictures, videos, books, music, and more!  If you have been thinking about buying a tablet, but don't feel like shelling out $500 or more, a Kindle is the gadget for you!

This coffee maker is perfect for anyone who wants one cup of coffee or a whole pot to themselves (that would be me).  It even has a "bold brew" option like it's Christmas 365 days per year!  Yay coffee!

I like to mix this with hot water, lemon, and honey for a drink that warms you all over and tastes amazing!

This show is pretty good for the whole family to watch without much awkwardness.  Of course, viewer discretion is always advised with everything--even that fun loving, purple dinosaur show ((eek)).

My Kindle.

My dearly-beloved-can't-be-without-go-crazy-if-it's-not-in-my-hands-I-don't-have-to-share-it-if-I-don't-want-to-and-you-can't-make-me Kindle.

Everyone in my family finally has their own.  I got tired of sharing mine and when they went on a major sale around Black Friday, I splurged.

But as we all know, a Kindle is far cheaper than other tablets out there so it really wasn't much of a splurge.

I seriously use it every day and am pretty sure I would need to be carted away in a straight jacket if anything ever happened to it.  Just sayin'.

My Hamilton Beach Flex Brew.

I bought one of these last fall after seeing it on GMA's Deals and Steals (or maybe it's Steals and Deals).

Anyhow, this coffee pot brews full pots and individual cups.

I love the fact I don't need to buy expensive k-cups to use the individual side.

It comes with small basket and filter that fits where the k-cup would go. You put a tiny bit of coffee in that, push the button, and voila!  Coffee!

My Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar.

I know.  I know.  Apple cider vinegar?  Seriously?  But, yes!  I love the stuff!

It can take a little getting used to, but it's no different than getting used to wine.  Wait...I didn't mean that, sorry.  I get a bit dramatic from time to time.

Apple cider vinegar is good, quite refreshing, and extremely healthy for you when it is of the raw, organic kind such as Bragg's (which is my favorite brand, by the way).

My Favorite Show.

If you have never watched The Middle before, you are missing out big time!

It is a sitcom on ABC that follows the life of a typical, middle of the road family from Indiana.

It is hilarious, witty, and creepy at the same time because I'm starting to think the writers and producers of this show have hidden cameras on me and my family since it eerily resembles us and our day-to-day life.

This is a must watch!
